I am happy to share the information that I have on the blog but I would appreciate it if you ALWAYS GIVE CREDIT to me or whoever, I may have listed as the person or business etc, responsible and mostly I’d like you to give my blog as the source..especially if you are posting things on line or on Facebook, or Pinterest etc. You can do this easily by just copying the link from the page you are referencing and paste it into your posting.  If you are copying information for a paper or class etc then be sure you  give credit to the people associated with it especially if other than myself.  The reason for this is that you can’t copy right ideas but its more ethical to be sure you don’t let people think it was your idea if you got from someone else.  This is just my feeling

Hi … I am an avid calligrapher, stamper, cardmaker…and crafts person.  I have been also a calligraphy and card making teacher at various stamp and scrapbooking stores in Washington.  I am also an avid talker…lol… I like sharing information with others and I have a friend that has been pushing me for quite a while to do a blog so here I am.  I didn’t realize that this page was available for readers so for a about 6 months it didn’t have anything in it…In this most recent blog posted on July 6th 2012, I got really excited about trying to explain one of my calligraphic passions was WEATHERGRAMS…but I didn’t want the whole blog to be about them so I tried to condense…note the word tried…however, I would love to share more details with anyone who is interested… I can give you the complete directions, and some of Lloyd Reynolds WEATHERGRAMS (his book is no longer in print) as well as any other information you are interested in but you will need to e-mail me at kathharney@gmail.com I ask you to e-mail me because unfortunately there are those out there that are just trying to get hits on their own blogs or are phishing for more information on me so you need to e-mail me with your valid e-mail address and preferably not a business e-mail address so that I know its not just spam.  I PROMISE you I will not contact you unless you ask me for information.  Sorry I took so long to write this.  Its a DUH thing.

  3. Kath, OMG, I sooo love your blog. I could spend all day looking at it. I came across it when I googled Akim Cursive. The president of our Scribes chapter just taught this class and everyone really enjoyed it. I’ll be checking you out on a regular basis. Thanks again. Fran Brown

  5. Kath, I just found your blog post about the article and sample that Bev Allen sent to you of Hans-Joachim Burgert’s Akim Cursive. I would absolutely love to get a copy of both if you would be willing to share. These would be for my own personal study. You can email them to me at cobbann02@aol.com if you wish. Thank you in advance.

    • Ann, think I replied directly to you but if you look on my blog your will find a copy of MY VERSION of AKIM and that is all I am able to share .. Bev is a friend but it would not be right to share her letter or her writing without her permission.
